Luchtman is a space pop band - the name translates to ‘sky guy’. But Luchtman is also a space hero, who travels the universe with his sidekick Ruimtepoes (‘Space Kitty’). Together they fight their nemesis, eat delicious microwave snacks, and forage for berries, being careful to only take just one.

I make comics inspired by the music, and the band makes music inspired by the comics. Together, the collective has released collectibles, animations, and life performances in full space garb. We have performed at venues like Volkshotel, and we’ve received funding from the Cultuurfonds.
